Officials from Chandler Unified School District have partnered with the State of Arizona’s Attorney General’s office to provide a community presentation on suicide prevention. At 6 pm, Monday, February 25th, Leslie Russell from the Attorney General’s office will present regarding the signs of suicide, how to identify warning signs, and what risk and protective factors there are for youth suicidality. Be Smart, a community agency, will also be providing free gun locks during the event.

AHCCCS, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Education, is working to improve access to behavioral health services in schools statewide. This is one strategy to reducing suicides in Arizona.
